CHIVES, Medium leaf
A perennial that grows quickly into dense clumps. It winters without cover. Requires fertile, sufficiently moist soil with a neutral pH. Sowing in March – April in boxes, on pallets under covers or on a seedbed. Plant the ground in May, 30×20 cm apart, 5-8 plants in total. For soil cultivation, seeds are sown in rows every 20-30 cm in April. Can be left in the same place for 3-4 years.
