FERTILIZER FOR BULBOUS PLANTS – AGRECOL
The fertilizer for bulbous plants is a granular mineral fertilizer. Generally increased potassium content has a positive effect on intensive and long-lasting flowering. Calcium regulates the pH of the substrate also creates ideal conditions for the development of bulbs.

- EC fertilizer
- nitrogen (N) – 7%
- potassium (K2O) – 24%
- calcium (CaO) – 13%
Generally the systematic use of this fertilizer guarantees a rapid growth of the green parts. It also allows for the development of good bulbs and rhizomes after the period of intensive flowering. Additionally the calcium contained in the fertilizer provides optimal conditions for the development of bulbous plants. Generally with the participation of nitrogen in a special form, it delicately deacidifies the substrate and stabilizes its pH.
Application method
Use terms adapted to the plant’s requirements:
- Bulbs – use twice a year during planting and flowering
- Perennials – use twice a year in the period from March to July, at intervals of 90 days (3 months)
- Plants grown in containers – use a single dose of 20 g of fertilizer for every 20 liters of substrate
Fall fertilizer should be applied from September.
- Measure the correct amount of fertilizer:
- Bulb plants
- after planting the bulbs – at a dose of 30-40 g per 1 m2
- during flowering of bulbs – at a dose of 60-80 g per 1 m2
- Perennials
- a dose of 40-60 g for every 1 m2
- Plants grown in containers
- single dose – 20 g of fertilizer for every 20 liters of substrate
- Sprinkle the fertilizer evenly around the plant also mix it with the topsoil if possible.
- After applying the fertilizer, water the plant abundantly.
1 handful is about 30 – 40 g of fertilizer.
